Congratulations to the Ann Arbor District Library, which has been named one of the top libraries in the country in a new survey by Library Journal. The inaugural LJ Index of Public Library Service is based on 2005-2006 data for circulation, visits to library, computer use, and program attendance.
Of the 7,115 libraries nationwide evaluated for the report, 88 received the highest possible ranking of five stars. The AADL was one of 10 libraries with a five-star ranking in its budget bracket (libraries with an annual budget of $10 million to $29.9 million).
