The State of Blogging in Libraries

Here is an interesting snapshot of blogging in the library world: Shiny Toys or Useful Tools? It was originally presented by Walt Crawford -- noted writer and speaker on libraries and technology -- at the 2009 Ontario Library Association SuperConference in Toronto.

Crawford writes:
"Blogs and wikis aren’t shiny new toys for libraries and librarians any more. They’ve moved from toys to tools. As with most tools, they’re not magic, they’re not right for everything or everybody, but they can be powerfully effective in many situations."
